Special-needs battles in Houston

If you want an example of how Texas parents can benefit through a proposed scholarship bill for autistic students, look no further.  To force an Iraq veteran to sue for third-party services for his autistic children is costly in every sense of the word.  Also see this on alleged abuse of special-needs kids at a Houston-area school.

This is an interesting story and I would like to know more about it. Being a Texan myself, I find it difficult to believe that the state would not want to provide these children with the educational foundations they need.
